Environmental solution of the theater hall building and studios in Brno
Znebejánek, Jiří ; Jelínek, Ondřej (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
This master thesis has two goals: First is to design a Permit Set of Drawings for a combined building of studios, classrooms and theather hall with neccesary auxilary facilities in Brno. Building is detached, five-storey with a basement. In the basement there are garages, theather hall with with facilities and HVAC technologies. The load-bearing structure is prefabricated reinforced concrete frame with ceramic masonry envelope and partitions. Roof is designed as a flat green roof. Building should fulfil the passivhaus requirements. The second goal of the thesis is to assess and compare common metal-based air-conditioning tubing with system based on stone-wool materials called CLIMAVER. The assessment and comparison is based on experimental measurements of the systems’ pressure losses.
Apartment building
Maršálková, Martina ; Kozubíková, Ivana (referee) ; Matějka, Libor (advisor)
This bachelor thesis processes the project documentation for the apartment building with a nearly zero energy consumption. The project of an apartment building is located in the city of Liberec, city district of Vesec and has four above-ground floors and one underground floor. The foundation of the apartment building is located in a slightly sloped terrain overlooking Ještěd and the neighborhood consists of family houses and apartment buildings. The main intention was to design comfortable, spacious and modern living space with low energy costs. The layout of apartments is suitable for families with children or for a young couple. None of the housing units are designed as barrier-free for people with limited mobility, but access to the building is wheelchair accessible and, if necessary, apartments can be changed to meet the requirements for barrier-free standards. In the basement of the building there are common areas including the gym and separate garage parking spots. Parking will be available even outside of the building, located from both sides of the building. The elementary materials used for the construction are brick and concrete from which the supporting structures of the building are made. The roof and part of the front of the building is designed to include vegetation.
Revitalization of a multi-purpose building in the village
Federla, Jakub ; Nováková, Eva (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The aim of master‘s thesis is to renovate old agricultural building and design it as nzeb building. The thesis contains three parts: 1st – design of the building, 2nd – design of building services, and 3rd – assessment of the impact of different operations in building on energy consumption. The results are then evaluated for economic and environmental savings. The renovated building in village Rozkoš will be used for many purposes. It will be divided into 3 parts – a multifunctional hall, a pub, and a club room. Multifunctional hall will be used for various activities for village itself or public. In the pub will be only cold kitchen with small dishes and beverages. Club room can be used for elderly people, workout or young people. The building is low rise and structural system is combined. The vertical load-bearing walls and columns are built of bricks. Horizontal load-bearing structures are cross vaults made also of bricks. Saddle roof is made of timber roof truss. The building site contains also an outdoor car park and a garden. The project was carried out in the Revit.
Energy retrofitting of a family home to the nearly zero energy building
Uhlíř, David ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis is devoted to reducing the energy intensity of a two-storey family house from the 1960s, to a building with almost zero energy consumption. First, the family house is analyzed in terms of the condition before reconstruction. The result of this analysis is a certificate of energy performance of the building in its original condition. Within the individual chapters, I subsequently propose specific energy saving measures. At the end of each chapter, these measures are economically evaluated using the New Green Savings Grant Program. The first measure is dedicated to improving the thermal technical properties of the building envelope. This is ensured by the complex insulation of the family house and the replacement of the original windows and doors. The second measure is devoted to the design of a suitable method of forced ventilation with heat recovery. As part of the third measure, I assess and select a suitable heat source that will replace the original heat source of the family house. As a final measure, I propose the use of a renewable energy source in the form of a photovoltaic system, which is based on energy simulation in the program DEKSOFT FVE. At the end of my work, I am developing a building energy performance certificate, which assesses the fulfillment of the condition of a building with almost zero energy consumption.
Detached House with Business Premises
Tručka, Jiří ; Hrochová, Žaneta (referee) ; Smolka, Radim (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is the project documentation of detached house with business premises. The object is located in town Pohořelice, in the area of detached houses. Object consists of two parts. House for four family members and cafe. The building is non-basement. Family house has two floors, cafe has one floor. Whole object is founded on reinforced concrete slab, under which is located a layer of ceramic aggregate. Bearing system is from Calcium silicate masonry units. Roof construction consists of roof trusses. It is covered with concrete roof tiles. Ceilings within the family house are mostly made of FILIGRAN panels. The cafe ceiling is light type, hung up construction on roof trusses. The project documentation includes fire safety assessment, thermal assessment, acoustic assessment and the daylighting assessment.
Recording Studio with Accomodation
Fiala, Jakub ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The main aim of this master’s thesis is to design a recording studio in a place of an abandoned agricultural building in a small village called Radešín. The thesis is structured into three parts. Goal of the first part is creation of a design documentation of architectural and structural designs. The building will consist of two storeys, a cellar and a gable roof. The most used building material will be reinforced concrete. Recording studio will offer three recording rooms accompanied by a large control room. Accommodation will include five apartments for ten inhabitants and a common room with kitchen. The second part is focused on design of selected building services. The building will be equipped with an air-to-water heat pump and wood chip boiler for heating. A mechanical ventilation with heat recovery will provide fresh air. Heat pump will also work as a cooling source. Furthermore, designs of the rainwater treatment, water heating, lightning and photovoltaics on the roof are included. The third part revolves around the matter of room acoustics. It describes basic knowledge and terminology of this field, which are then used to solve reverberation. I dealt with three variants – initial state, state with additional dampening and state with additional dampening with movable acoustic panels. One calculation was made in Microsoft Excel, the other one with help of room simulation in Odeon. Finally, I compared these two methods.
Kindergarten and primary school in Škrdlovice
Peňáz, Zdeněk ; Vystrčil, Jan (referee) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this master project is to design a nzeb kindergarten and primary school in Škrdlovice. The building has three parts: kindergarten and primary school with 2 above–ground floors and basements are connected with a single canteen. The canteen has a flat extensive green roof, while the kindergarten and primary school have saddle roof. The kindergarten has two identical floors with playrooms, locker rooms, bed and toy storage, teacher’s office, and bathrooms. First floor of the primary school contains locker room, teacher’s’ offices, it classroom, afterschool centre, and toilets. Three classrooms, headmaster’s office, and toilets are in the second floor. The building is designed using Xella building system. The external load–bearing walls, slabs, and internal non–bearing walls are made of aerated concrete blocks. The internal load–bearing are made of lime–sand blocks. The building is insulated with non–fibrous mineral panels. The project includes design of lightning, HVAC, DHW, and photovoltaics systems. The project also includes a study of three structural details including 3D models in BIM software and their thermal assessment. The project was designed using BIM software Revit.
Office building
